Last weekend was The Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong show. Being a Hong Kong based company, it only made sense for Hot Toys to be one of the major vendors on hand showcasing their newest collectible figures.
Since I’m not the jet-setter to go off to Hong Kong just yet, I’ve been eagerly awaiting Hot Toys putting up their pics from the show, which they did and now I’m able to share with all of you.
Some of which I was expecting to see like the first full look of The Hulk from their “Marvel’s The Avengers” line. It’s impressively massive compared to the others and how awesome does that display look with the full team fighting Loki?
We also got to see the finished product of “The Amazing Spider-Man” unmasked head sculpt, which was blurred in the early preview pictures. Hot Toys’ sculptors were easily able to nail Andrew Garfield’s look just right for their figure. But that’s not really surprising at this stage, right?
Of note was the debut of collectible figures from the “X-Men” movie line – a Charles Xavier sporting James MacAvoy’s likeness from “X-Men: First Class” and Hugh Jackman (“The Prestige“) from the absurdly awful “X-Men: Last Stand.”
The various looks of Captain America from “Captain America: The First Avenger.” The classic comic book costume may not be as dingy and realistic, but it’s my favorite of the bunch.
From one of the key scenes in “The Dark Knight,” The Joker 2.0.
