Steve from Third Eye Comics again offers up his top choices for this week:
GAMBIT Returns In A Brand New Ongoing Series

For years now, we’ve been hearing the same thing from many of you: Gambit needs his own series. And, now, I think we can all agree: our requests have been answered! Marvel is delivering one heck of a knockout new ongoing series with Gambit #1 this week, and it totally lives up to the high expectations that I know many of you have for a new Gambit series.
It’s been a long time since the Ragin’ Cajun has had his own monthly series, and we’re pretty proud to say that this book totally does it in style.
This new ongoing series features some sharp writing, and even sharper artwork, as Marvel’s premiere thief sets his sights on his biggest score yet. Too bad he may just be over his head here.
BATMAN #12 *NIGHT OF THE OWLS EPILOGUE*

Okay by now, you know: I am huge, huge, huge into the Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo run of Batman. And, I know that many of you guys are as well.
I mean, let’s be real, this is quite possibly the best BATMAN of this generation. It stands up there head and shoulders alongside modern classics like Dark Knight Returns, Batman Year One, Batman The Long Halloween and Batman: Hush.
It’s really a rarity to be watching comic book history in the making unfold right before our eyes, and that’s what it feels like to be reading BATMAN right now. I really can’t offer any higher praise than that, folks: this is history in the making.
This week’s issue #12 is a very special epilogue to the NIGHT OF OWLS / COURT OF OWLS, and wraps up the current arc, while laying out everything we need for the upcoming JOKER story arc that begins in BATMAN #13 with DEATH OF THE FAMILY Chapter 1. Either way, do yourselves a favor, and get on board what’s turning out to be the best damn superhero comic on the stands.
VALIANT RELAUNCH: ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #1
We really cannot wait to read this week’s ARCHER & ARMSTRONG #1.
Just like BLOODSHOT, X-O MANOWAR and HARBINGER have all provided exciting, break-the-mold kind of takes on the superhero genre, ARCHER & ARMSTRONG does the same.
After years of meditation and training, 18-year old Obadiah Archer has been dispatched to New York City to carry out the sacred mission of his family’s sect — kill the booze-addled immortal known only as Armstrong and convene a new world order! But as this underage assassin stalks his prey, he’ll soon find that both hunter and hunted are just pawns in a global conspiracy stretching back five millennia — and that Archer & Armstrong will have to work together if the future is to stand any chance of surviving the past’s greatest threat!
NEW STAR WARS: LOST TRIBE OF THE SITH SERIES !

We are huge Star Wars fans at Third Eye, and we have not seen a new Star Wars comic launch with this much promise since last year’s Dawn Of The Jedi.
It has a very cool take on the Sith, and shows you the origins of the Sith from their earliest point.
On a planet ruled by a tribe of Sith — marooned thousands of years ago and cut off from the galaxy–the throne holder is about to be challenged by a power-hungry Sith rebel from the slums… and a thwarted Royal Sith princess! Their few shared interests set them on a quest together — but most certainly not as partners.
The saga of the lost tribe delves into the deepest points of Sith history, exploring the mostly unknown history of the Sith, and the Dark Side of the Force.
And, this killer new series is an ALL-Sith story with heroes, antiheroes, and straight-up villains.
WOLVERINE #311 *RETURN OF SABRETOOTH CHAPTER 2*

The new Wolverine arc by Jeph Loeb and superstar artist Simone Bianchi has been so freakin’ awesome and we’re loving the direction that it’s headed.
First off: Sabretooth, is by far, one of the coolest villains in comics, and it’s great to see him being brought back to his roots. I mean, this is the Sabretooth you remember from the ’90s X-Men stuff that’s a seriously heavyweight foe, and after losing his head to Wolverine a few years back in Wolverine: Evolution, he’s returned… and only one question is left: which Sabretooth is the real Sabretooth?
And, where has the real Sabretooth been all this time, and whose side has he aligned with now?
Ultra-violent, in-your-face, and non-stop action-packed, the new WOLVERINE “Return of Sabretooth” story arc is a must-read, and we’re loving every second of it.
BEFORE WATCHMEN: OZYMANDIAS #2!

BEFORE WATCHMEN is pretty much the definition of comic book awesomeness, and we’re loving every second of it.
The OZYMANDIAS title may be one of our big favorites, as Jae Lee’s artwork on this one is INCREDIBLE, and definitely puts it on top as one of the best-looking of the BEFORE WATCHMEN titles.
The storytelling in this one is fantastic too, as it’s very cool to see the insight into one of the Watchmen’s most fascinating characters.
We cannot wait to see where things are heading in this week’s BEFORE WATCHMEN: OZYMANDIAS #2.
Wanna get caught up? We’ve got issue #1 in stock now to get you up to this week’s #2.
We’re huge fans of both the current run of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN by DAN SLOTT, and the current run of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN by BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS.
So, when you take Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, the regular creative team on the already totally awesome ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN series, and have them penning the first-ever crossing over of the regular Marvel U and the Ultimate U…. you know it’s going to be good stuff!
Now, the question is: can the Spider-Men stop Mysterio? Peter Parker comes face-to-face with the Ultimate versions of Aunt May and Gwen Stacy, and well, there’s a lot more awesome stuff, but we don’t wanna give you away all the good stuff!
IDOLIZED #1 ARRIVES FROM THE PUBLISHERS OF LADY MECHANIKA, ASPEN COMICS, THIS WEDNESDAY!

ASPEN has really built a strong reputation for itself with their unique take on comic books with recent hits like LADY MECHANIKA, EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ASSASSINS, and of course, the legendary FATHOM and SOULFIRE titles.
Now, they’re kicking out the jams with an all-new series by the title of IDOLIZED, and if judging by the kick-ass issue #0 (still in stock to catch you up!) from last month, then we’ve got a lot to look forward to with Idolized.
What’s the scoop on this? What would a real world filled with superheroes look like? In this all-new series it gets ugly, as a girl-next-door named Joule reveals her tortured past and her desperate attempt for revenge — all while auditioning in front of the cameras and judges of hte hot new TV show “SuperHero Idol”!
Idolized begins here, as we experience the initial audition that will make Joule a household name in homes across America, and we begin to learn the secrets she’s hiding that may lead to her shocking downfall.
