“G.I. Joe Retaliation” stars Adrianne Palicki, Byung-hun Lee, D.J. Cotrona, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and director Jon M. Chu continued their promotional efforts at the film’s Sydney, Australia premiere.
The five have been international travelers jetting from Seoul, South Korea to Down Under. Can you imagine how annoying these things would be if you didn’t like your co-star? Talk about awkward.
No news on whether co-stars Bruce Willis (Joe Colton), Channing Tatum (Duke), Ray Park (Snake-Eyes) or Ray Stevenson (Firefly) will be joining in on the premieres anytime soon. Maybe they’re waiting for the domestic premieres?
I’ve never been to a premiere with the stars in attendance, but it seems like it’d be a pretty cool deal to get a star from a movie you’re anticipating to stop and take a picture with you. I wonder how long in advance those people have to be out there just so they can get close enough.
And it definitely seems like one of those deals if you’re not right at the gate/security fencing there’s no point in sticking around since it doesn’t look like you could get close enough to get the stars’ attention from even the second row.
I love the shots of The Rock greeting the two young boys, who look like he’s made their year and Palicki with the guy who seems legitimately thrilled to meet her, not just because he thinks she’s hot.
This “action” shot of the cast was also pretty fun. I loved how Palicki stayed “in character” and “fought” the Cobra ninja.
