Schwarzenegger's back for "Terminator 5" #TerminatorGenisys

Arnold Schwarzenegger as The TerminatorParamount Pictures is working on distributing the next Terminator film and the studio decided to make sure audiences will be back by working to have Arnold Schwarzenegger return to the franchise that made him a mega-star.

On The Arnold Fans, Schwarzenegger shared this comment: “I’m very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January.”

I was glad to see him sort of cameo in “Terminator Salvation” (the special effects team just scanned his face and used CGI to apply it to a stunt double) so I’m looking forward to seeing him back for real this time.

What do you think? Excited about Arnold coming back or ready for him to retire from the franchise for good?

I thought the Terminator films that Arnold was in were great. The story lines were good. It was not Arnold some much as the story line and special effects. The action scenes had a certain quality of drama and you cared about the characters. Of course Arnold looked the part and his accent gave him a Robot voice in a sense. ” I’ll be back” meant some different after that movie.(smile)

  • What’d you think of Terminator Salvation, Pierre?

It had some great action segments in the beginning but it came off as just another apoplectic story line. I got the world of MAD MAX thing. Plus, John Connors is not as interesting as his mother and father were. But mostly I think it was the Robots did not have that human quality as the Cyborgs in the ones with Arnold did. A “beautiful sexy blond” Cyborg who kills like a machine kept my interest. The contrasts just take you to another place.
