For all you Minion lovers out there, now's your chance to play "Despicable Me Minion Rush"

Despicable Me Minion RushI pretty much question anyone who doesn’t LOVE the Minions from “Despicable Me 2.”

The little yellow scene-stealers are easily my favorite supporting cast of any 2013 movie so far and have me anxiously awaiting their spin-off next year. In the meanwhile, DM fans can have a little Minion fun on the go with the “Despicable Me: Minion Rush” game.

Here’s the game description from developer Gameloft:

Gru’s loyal, yellow, gibberish-speaking Minions are ready for their toughest challenge in Despicable Me: Minion Rush.

Play as a Minion and compete with others in hilarious, fast-paced challenges in order to impress your boss, (former?) super-villain Gru! Jump, fly, dodge obstacles, collect bananas, be mischievous, and defeat villains to earn the title of Minion of the Year!Despicable Me Minion Rush2

The gameplay is pretty similar to Temple Run, but it’s got The Minions soooo it kinda wins by default.

Best part is the game is free (my favorite price) so give it a whirl and experience a little bit more Minion Mayhem.

iTunes users can download it here.

Minion Rush is similar with Temple Run but much funnier. I like how the game captured the movie’s humor, visuals and even the audio.

I just don’t like the in-app purchase which I think unnecessary as its a kiddie game. Anyway, if you need tokens but don’t want to spend cash, all you need is to accomplish achievements and unlock some codes for bonuses:

  • Thanks Deborah! Definitely appreciate the codes. I totally agree about that in-app deal, which I find annoying — almost as much as those ads that appear at the start of every game! ;-(
