It's time to start getting hyped about "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." again

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD Episode 17 Turn Turn - Coulson, Skye and FitzAfter a lot of fanfare as one of the most highly anticipated shows of the 2013 fall season, it’d be an understatement to say “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” had some early growing pains. There were a lot of problems from the overemphasis of maybe traitor/maybe S.H.I.E.L.D. agent wannabe Skye (Chloe Bennett), a frustrating lack of information on how Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) returned from the dead after getting skewered by Loki in “Marvel’s The Avengers” and the annoying matter of the team being able to neatly handle any problem within an hour. Not to mention the seeming vacuum the show seemed to exist in apart from the rest of the Marvel Universe made even more obvious as the producers of rival comic book-based show “Arrow” excelled at weaving in various layers of the DC universe in seemingly every episode.

And while the midseason break seemed to indicate a shift to more ongoing storylines that audience members would actually care about, it actually took a few more episodes for the writers to hit their stride in creating a show more in line with what Marvel movie fans were expecting all along. Now with the repercussions from “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” imminent, this show has suddenly got a lot more intriguing and I can’t wait for tonight’s episode. Time for a quick recap of what turned the tide and what’s to come next. There will be some “Winter Soldier” spoilers at this point and I’m not sure how long you can stay with the show if you haven’t watched the movie yet, but anyway consider that your SPOILER WARNING.

clap clap applause. I think we need you go hard on the last six my friend. This ties it in better for me. I so want ward to be hydra so he can get axed. Even if may turns out evil, they have to keep her for my purposes :). I think shield becomes a secret again with off the grid fury giving the orders as he always have and done whether if shield was known about or not. True Sif popping gave it the first kind of random teamup appeal Marvel comics can have done. Also she was so much more exiting than a bunch of clone agents. I think triplett should get a least a date with simmons (love that accent, she has gotten cuter each episode since the pilot, she even looks more fit?? IDK why) Fitz can stay if they bump off ward and give him more resposiblity or something. Maybe ship him off to help stark off screen and come back every so often. I will be glued tonight

but yeah I say get rid of ward (yet again) and add in the the new pair of agents more full time. it gives it more gravitas. And paxson looks like he can drive phil up a wall and will cap someone

  • Hey man. You requested it. I could handle it. Done deal. May start taking review requests on other things too.

I’ll try to have my recap up by 11. I think Ward is safe so they can do the Skye romance, but May and Fitz seem like good candidates.
