Hot Toys The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - tight Spider-Man swinging shot

Yep, this figure is gonna be the first to make me break my just the Avengers characters stance.

Hot Toys The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - closeup of web shooterAs big a fan of The Avengers line of Hot Toys figures, this could very well vault right up as one of its best figures yet. Maybe besides HT’s Hulk and War Machine figures this look of Spider-Man is about as close to the comic book outfit as we could hope to get so the figure is definitely going to appeal to more than just the Marvel movie fans. I’m really digging the dynamic poses the figure can handle and how can you not like the extra outfit?

Here’s the Hot Toys synopsis:

The amazing Spider-Man is swinging back onto the silver screen this season! It is great to be Spider-Man, but it also comes at a big price and Spider-Man will find his greatest battle is just about to begin!

In anticipation to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hitting the theaters, Hot Toys is excited to introduce the new 1/6th scale Spider-Man Collectible Figure. The movie-accurate Spider-Man collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Spider-Man in the film. It features a newly developed Spider-Man suit, highly detailed accessories, and figure stand with flexible pillar for dynamic posing. A special edition that is available for selected markets will include an additional 1/6th scale plutonium canister and a specially designed Spider-Man artwork cover for dynamic figure stand.

Yeah Jeff I already have the Classic and Black spidey’s from the Raimi films so I passed on TASM version, it didn’t move me enough to go after it and hearing about the quality control issues on it really gave me extra incentive on passing on it. However this version from TASM2 might just get my money this time, it looks great so far from what I can see.

  • Mind sharing pics of the Raimi versions you have? Love to see what they look like.
