Some positive signs revealed from first look at set pics from “Star Wars: Episode VII” #StarWars

Star Wars Episode VII set pic2J.J. Abrams isn’t getting caught up in CGI for his take on Star Wars as he’s busy filming “Episode VII.”

Star Wars Episode VII set picIn the first leaked pics (which in case you couldn’t guess from the watermark, are from TMZ) from the Abu Dhabi site, a massive creature and actual sets are on location instead of copious amounts of green screen so this should more closely resemble George Lucas’ original take instead of the more refined tech-heavy look of the prequels.

Star Wars Episode VII set pic3I’m more a prequel-apologists than most, but I wasn’t a huge fan of how modern Episode I-III looked as opposed to the trilogy set further in the future. This look at Tattooine has a modern slant, but will be handled the much more authentic and creative way, which is how our Star Wars should be done. What do you think?

  • It’s all about the story. As long as they can give us some decent storytelling, good acting, and lots of fun action, I will be happy. I’m trying to stay positive but it’s hard after the prequels, you know?

  • LOL. Like I said, I didn’t hate the prequels like most folks did, but I definitely know there’s a lot of uncertainty among the fanbase after them.

  • On another note, good to “see” you again! πŸ™‚

  • Lol thanks πŸ™‚ I keep flipping between WordPress and livejournal. Need to make sure I read both blog rolls before bed each day lol

  • Yeah you do! πŸ™‚
