I’ve got a good feeling about Michael Keaton’s “Birdman” #Birdman

Don’t look now, but we may have our first Oscar contender with Michael Keaton’s “Birdman.”

In the film, Keaton (who starred in the iconic “Batman” and “Batman Returns“) plays a down on his luck actor who’s bottomed out after portraying a major superhero. Now he has to deal with his own over-inflated ego and family drama while trying to launch a Broadway play to rekindle stardom.

Beyond the ironically perfect casting of Keaton, the film also has more comic book stars with Emma Stone (“The Amazing Spider-Man 2“) and Edward Norton (“The Incredible Hulk“). The visuals in the trailer are really inviting/mesmerizing and I’m curious to see the finished product.

“Birdman” lands in theaters on Oct. 17.

The trailer seems to indicate a good story line. I wonder if it is trying to say something about the trend for movies about Super heroes or at least our societies Fascination with them. I will looking to see this one. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Not sure myself, but I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out too!
