Final “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” trailer is making this look like one of 2014’s best

I was pleasantly surprised by “Rise of the Planet of the Apes.” I watched the TV show, but was never all that enamored with the franchise. The lackluster 2001 “Planet of the Apes” film starring Mark Wahlberg did little to stir up any interest in it either, however I’m really pumped up for “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes,” which looks to firmly realize the potential in this license and terrifying prospect of a world overrun with apes.

This latest trailer is making this my most anticipated film of the summer and it is not looking like it will disappoint.

We’ve got the ape army arriving at a human stronghold with a very clear statement: “Apes do not want war.” Somehow, I don’t think Gary Oldman (“The Dark Knight Rises“) is going to be all that accommodating. Be warned that this trailer features a pretty shocking scene that I almost wish hadn’t been revealed as I think it would have made for a much stronger impact for viewers watching the movie. It’s not like we need to be sold on the film as everything we’ve seen thus far has looked incredible.

The film comes to theaters July 11.

They totally ruined that by including it in the trailer.
    These people are total fools.

  • Exactly. That looked like it was a pivotal moment that now everyone will know what’s gonna happen. Ah well…

There will be no surprise in that scene for us, lol.
