While catching up with Buzzfeed, Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe said he’d definitely be interested in trading in his glasses for some Batarangs.
‘If they reboot that again, I’ll do that, too,’ he said. ‘It’s happening isn’t it? With Ben Affleck. I could be Robin. I’m perfect.’
And you know what? He’s not wrong. He’d make for an excellent Robin. One that’s old enough to handle himself in a serious scrap and it’d provide Radcliffe another way to get out from just being Harry Potter for his entire career. Warner Bros. has already had a storied relationship with Radcliffe and getting Harry Potter to star in its next great franchise could prove the lure to attract Potter fans who previously weren’t all that interested in superhero films.
While Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice has about 1,240 characters already in it, another post-Christopher Nolan Batman relaunch with Affleck in the lead role is all but inevitable. Robin doesn’t have to show up in the superhero mash-up, but I’d actually like to see WB give him a shot as the Boy Wonder.
