Brad Pitt feels the “Fury” in war drama trailer

Brad Pitt in Fury

What’s that sound you hear? That’s the loud boom of excitement from me after checking out the trailer for Brad Pitt’s new film, “Fury,” written and directed by David Ayer (“End of Watch“) and co-starring Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal (“Snitch“), Michael Peña (“Gangster Squad“).

I’m a sucker for pretty much any World War II film so I am seriously excited about this one as Pitt is taking a far more serious approach to the epic conflict than his last foray into WWII territory with Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds.”

Oscar voters are also notoriously easy marks for war films as well so don’t be shocked if this starts getting year-end award consideration buzz

“Fury” opens Nov. 14.

Could be okay. Might be a bit too full of angst, lol. I know War always is, but sometimes i need more “Kelly’s Heroes” than “Saving Private Ryan”.

  • You definitely won’t get a happy, feel-good tone from an Ayer’s movie that’s for darn sure. Good to great, but you won’t be smiling and laughing through most of it.
