CW stays in Amell business, cast Robbie as Firestorm for Flash TV show

stephen-robbie-amellI’ve gotta give it up to the suits and decision makers at CW.

They’ve got a hit show in Arrow, starring Stephen Amell and when his cousin, Robbie, saw his show The Tomorrow People get cancelled, they quickly cast him in the seemingly surefire hit new show The Flash, as Ronnie Raymond aka Firestorm the Nuclear Man.

Granted, there’s no evidence to suggest Robbie Amell wasn’t the best choice, but this will definitely keep the network in Stephen Amell’s good graces.

In the show, Ronnie will be playing a S.T.A.R. Labs maintenance worker.

Plus now there’s even more of a reason to get the cousins onscreen together for the TV version of the Justice League with Stephen’s Arrow, Grant Gustin’s Flash, Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer/Atom, Caity Loitz’ Black Canary and now Firestorm.

CW, let’s make that happen before both show’s season finales.
