After watching all the other major networks grab a comic book show with NBC’s “Constantine,” FOX’s “Gotham,” ABC’s “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and CW’s “Arrow” and “Flash,” CBS is finally getting into the game and has picked up the “Supergirl” series.
The show will focus on
Kara Zor-El, who was born on the planet Krypton, but escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she’s been hiding the powers she shares with her famous cousin Superman. But now, at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be.
Greg Berlanti (“Arrow,” “Flash”) and New Normal’s Ali Adler (“New Normal”) will write and executive-produce with Sarah Schechter.
I’m very curious how the show will handle the lack of Superman or if WB will finally come around that their TV and movie properties can co-exist and have Henry Cavill fly by for a couple of episodes?
