No tricks, Mark Hamill returns to “The Flash” #TheFlash

Mark Hamill as the Trickster with John Wesley Shipp FlashAs if you needed another reason to love “The Flash” any more.

Mark Hamill, one of the real bright spots of the 1990’s “Flash” show, will be returning to play James Jesse, the Rogue known as The Trickster.

According to HitFix, Hamill will be appearing near the end of the first season — at episode 17 — and be the old Trickster, who is upset that a young punk (presumably the younger Axel Walker version Trickster) is running around with his gimmick and helps Barry and Joe stop him.

Trickster Axel“Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90’s ‘Flash’ series.  In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist  con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.  The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original ‘Flash’ on the CBS version.”

I know we’ve got Reverse Flash coming this week, but with the arrival of another Rogue, I’m really hoping the season finale pits Flash against a bunch of the Rogues.

  • Your comic pic is not of the James Jesse Trickster but of the Axel Walker version. I assume Axel is going to be the “wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.”

  • Yep. Sorry if that wasn’t clearer. The Axel version will be the new wannabe.

  • keith

is that old costume made of suede. damn comic tv shows have come a looooong way. the fake muscles on that ill fitting suit are laughable. but it still managed to be a fun show. Just wrong time wrong station

  • I’m not sure actually 😉

I think if it came maybe even a decade later it would have fared better.
