From mainstream comic book characters to more niche characters, Kristin Williams hasn’t met one she can’t cosplay.
She’s got some real winners and is cranking out some great pieces, which is all the more impressive when you consider she’s just now approaching her first anniversary as a cosplayer. Check out her work and let me know what are your favorites!
How did you get into cosplay? My best friend got me into cosplay.
How long have you been doing it? I didn’t start doing it till last year.
I have been cosplaying for a year and looking forward to many more.
What was your first costume? Rose Tyler from Doctor Who was my first cosplay.
What’s been your favorite? My favorite has been Amy Pond from “Doctor Who.”
What was the hardest costume you’ve done? TMNT Michelangelo has been the most difficult so far to make.
How much money do you typically spend on your outfits? My average cost of a costume is around $75. I love to hit those sales!
What makes it so rewarding? Cosplaying shares many rewards. Making children smile. Being proud of yourself. Having celebrities compliment your work. Getting model opportunities. Those have been my highlights.
What would you say to people who have thought about doing cosplay, but haven’t quite worked up the nerve yet? Cosplay is a fantastic creative outlet for everyone.
