The ‘Star Wars: A New Hope’ Luke Skywalker figure from Hot Toys may be its best yet

Hot Toys Star Wars Luke Skywalker - holding lightsaber

Yes, yes and yes. Now for Leia, Tarkin and the droids please.

“I’m Luke Skywalker. I’m here to rescue you.” – Luke Skywalker

Originally just a moisture farmer on the planet Tatooine, the young Luke Skywalker’s life began to change forever when he purchased two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, and met the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, the infamous smugglers Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia! Luke’s actions helped change the fate of the galaxy by assisting the Rebel Alliance against the Galactic Empire and destroying the terrifying Death Star.

Today, Hot Toys is very excited to officially reveal the collectible figure of the central character in the original Star Wars trilogy – the 1/6th scale Luke Skywalker Collectible Figure from Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope!

The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in the film featuring a newly developed head sculpt, specially tailored costume, LED-lighted lightsaber, a hat with goggles, a poncho, detailed accessories, and a figure stand. A special edition is available in selected markets which include an additional Stormtrooper belt with grappling hook, a communicator, and a blaster rifle.

Your Star Wars collection wouldn’t be complete without this Luke Skywalker collectible figure.

Looks pretty damn nice, will you be getting it?

  • Barry Murray

Incredible. Looks a lot more like Hamill than the previous HT Luke figure. I’m guessing they ditched the PERS.

  • Definitely!

  • I really liked the ESB one. May be my favorite(s) in my collection.

  • Barry Murray

It’s an incredible piece. But i reckon this head is a better sculpt, without the PERS.
I might pick one up for my Jedi Luke figure.

The head sculpt is indeed great on this and it probably beats the DX07 slightly there, but as far as being a complete package and everything else goes the DX07 is still vastly superior imo. But it’s a great looking figure.

  • I always thought his face looked much different in Jedi. Maybe it’s the hairstyle too.

  • Interesting. That’s two votes for this head sculpt over the Bespin figure.

  • Fred

I have to look good at the head sculpt of my DX07 again to see which one is truly better.

  • Barry Murray

Sorry. “Luke ~as~ a Jedi”, not “Luke ~from~ Jedi”… My mistake. It’s a Qui Gon costume i have on him there. He mostly wore black in Jedi. I was just thinking that after Jedi, he might have gone back to traditional Jedi garb from the time of the Republic.

  • Man my phone never shows the attachments for some reason. That looks cool!
