I’ve been watching some old Portland wrestling and came across this very cool profile on Luther Lindsay, one of the black pioneers of wrestling and one of the guys that Bret Hart’s father, Stu Hart, respected the most in the business.
Thought it’d be nice especially in light of last week’s scandal to show a different side of things.
My grandfather kept a photo of Luther Lindsay in his wallet for over 50 years. It was one of his prized possessions. Stu had the utmost respect for Luther because Luther challenged my grandfather, past his limits. Luther was the only man that was able to make Stu tap. Today is Stu's birthday and I know he would be proud to have Luther shine, too.
