Wesker is back in Resident Evil 0

One of my all-time favorite video game villains is Albert Wesker, the S.T.A.R.S. traitor and head Umbrella agent. In a new feature for “Resident Evil 0,” players will be able to see the Racoon City before the virus outbreak from Wesker’s perspective.

Capcom unveiled the Wesker Mode for Resident Evil 0 where players can use Wesker as an alternative character. Wesker will replace the gameplay role of Billy Coen, the regular alternate character working alongside Rebecca Chambers.

For those of you who haven’t taken the plunge to go digital yet, Capcom also announced you can grab physical copies of the Resident Evil HD update as well as Resident Evil 0.

Beginning Jan. 19, 2016, everyone will be able to experience an introduction to the Resident Evil origin stories that started it all in Resident Evil Origins Collection, a physical disc product that contains both the upcoming release of Resident Evil 0 and the recently released critically-acclaimed Resident Evil. This collection will be available for MSRP $39.99 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One.

Resident Evil 0 - Albert Wesker fighting off enemies with Rebecca ChambersResident Evil 0 will also be available to purchase digitally for MSRP $19.99 / €19.99 / £14.99 early 2016 for PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

it baffles me that the writers of this game had the foresight to realize it can be told from so many angles, characters, etc. yet Hollywood blew this ( well they still made their money). I think i am willing to get into a a longform well done TV show based on the original happenings of resident evil since I never got into the game ( damn tank controls, my downfall lol)

  • You’re so right. RE actually would be a property that could work fine as a prequel or continuation of the mythos.

Really need to try Resident Evil Origins. It has a non-tank command you’d probably enjoy.
