In a development not so coincidentally timed in the midst of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hype, Cartoon Network announced today a new series Justice League Action.
Beyond Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, expect a Who’s Who of DC heroes. Adding some major credibility to the series is Kevin Conroy, THE voice of Batman has signed on to the show and will be reunited with his Batman: The Animated Series co-star Mark Hamill, who will be reprising his role as The Joker. James Woods will be voicing Lex Luthor while Diedrich Bader is handling Booster Gold. Hopefully that leads to a Justice League International episode or story arc.
Episodes will only clock in at 11 minutes so you won’t have to spend a lot of time binge watching it if you fall behind. The show is being executive produced by Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) with Butch Lukic (Justice League, Batman Beyond), Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series) and Jim Krieg (Green Lantern: The Animated Series) signed up as producers.
No premiere date has been announced yet, but expect it to debut around the fall.
