Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead series may be two (or two and a half if you count 400 Days) of my favorite games ever. I’m highly anticipating playing the next installment of the series featuring Michonne.
Telltale dropped the trailer for The Walking Dead: Michonne today and it’s looking like another winner.
The three-episode installment will tie into the canon of Robert Kirkman’s comic so this won’t be some random one-off.
According to Telltale: The story explores Michonne, portrayed by award-winning actress Samira Wiley(Orange is the New Black), on an untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139. Haunted by her past, players will discover what took her away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.
The Walking Dead: Michonne – A Telltale Games Series will be available Feb. 25 to download on PC, Mac, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, compatible iOS devices, and Android.
In this premiere episode, In Too Deep, Michonne joins Pete and his crew on the sailing ship The Companion as they cruise the coast for survivors and supplies. When a desperate signal for help draws them to a scene of horrific massacre, Michonne and the crew are lead further to the floating survivors’ colony of Monroe, which may just be harboring the person responsible for the carnage.
The second episode in the miniseries, Give No Shelter, will follow in the month of March, and conclude with the third episode, What We Deserve, in April. All three episodes in the miniseries will be available for purchase at the cost of $14.99 USD or equivalent when the first episode debuts, including access to the second and third episodes as they become available.
