Hot Toys Civil War Ant-Man figure

Team Cap is getting stocked heading into war as we get closer to Captain America: Civil War. I’m fully on board with Cap’s squad so I’m looking forward to adding Scott Lang aka Ant-Man to my collection with this new Hot Toys release.

Ant-Man Marvel Sixth Scale Figure

I’m going to need Barry to break down all the changes from this version and the standalone solo film version previously released by Hot Toys, but this will be the one I grab.

When the Marvel Cinematic Universe becomes divided over the rising concern of collateral damage caused by the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, fans will finally witness the epic showdown between Captain America and Iron Man where the two heroes hold different views on the system of accountability to oversee the Avengers.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are excited to officially present the new sixth scale collectible figure of the newest supporter of Team Captain America, the size-shifting hero, Ant-Man!

The movie-accurate Ant-Man collectible figure is specially crafted based on the film featuring a newly developed head sculpt with an authentic likeness of Paul Rudd as Ant-Man in the movie, an interchangeable helmeted head with LED light-up function, meticulously tailored new Ant-Man suit, an Ant-Man miniature figure, and a Captain America: Civil War themed figure stand.

Don’t pass up on the opportunity to add the latest Ant-Man collectible figure in your collection.Hot Toys Civil War Ant-Man figure -collage

    Thanks for the namecheck, lol.
The first version is a 70’s/80’s version of the suit, made by Hank back when he was using it.
This will be a new version, made by Hank as a newer suit for Scott to wear. This looks far sleeker and more modern. Notice his regulator is gone from the belt. It might be mentioned as to where it has moved to. Or might not.
If you are getting one, i’d recommend the first one. It has a masked sculpt with flip up visor. Although this one has a great unmasked headsculpt, the first one has a sculpt inside the helmet. This one seems at a first glance to not have a face in the helmet.

Of course my man. You’re a big help in helping me see all the differences. The Coke commercial actually helped me appreciate the costume differences of all things. Odd, huh?
Did you get the first one?

I have the first one on order. There has been a delay from the HK release to it being out with Sideshow. But i will get the CW version too most likely.
I got my Delorean last week!!!
And my cabinet is finally almost, nearly finished. I ordered the doors and the last shelf today. ten working days for the glass to get cut and then i need to get the shelf covered in black vinyl. I have already done most of the lighting, and each shelf is wired up to a WIFI socket(So i can use a remote app on my phone to activate each shelf’s lighting).

Oh man. Can’t wait to see your pics of the Delorean (and the cabinet). What do you think?
    That WiFi setup sounds awesome!

I’m not fully removing the Delorean from the box till the cabinet is done. But it’s biiiiig….

I’ve heard the likeness referred to as a cross between Ben Affleck and Adam Scott, and now I can’t unsee that.

Oh no, now I see it too 😉
