Regardless of how the season finale plays out, Season 4 of Arrow has been disappointing. Perhaps the biggest problem has been its inconsistency. Some episodes would be really great then a few ill-advised decisions kept derailing the momentum.
It was facing an uphill battle as the first half of the season as significant events from Season 3 were undone in order to set up Legends of Tomorrow and the mystery of the person in the grave became an extended tease. But the show was too good to keep down and it rebounded until Olicity drama overwhelmed the series once again. There was still enough promising episodes to suggest the show just needs some fixing instead of a complete overhaul.
With Arrow already renewed for Season 5, here’s four steps the show could take to get back on target come this fall.
