Two tickets for Killing Joke can be yours
Lyles Movie Files is giving away two tickets to the one night only theatrical showing of Batman: The Killing Joke. All you’ve gotta do is post a comment stating your favorite Batman character and why. That’s your entry. Deadline for submissions is July 22.
Based on the acclaimed DC graphic novel of the same name, Batman: The Killing Joke takes a journey into the dark psyche of the Clown Prince of Crime – from his humble beginnings as a struggling comedian to his fateful encounter with Batman that changes both of their lives forever. Years later, and now escaped from Arkham Asylum, The Joker devises a plan to prove that one bad day can make anyone as insane as he is – setting his sights on Commissioner Gordon. It’s up to the Dark Knight to put a stop to The Joker’s latest scheme and save one of Gotham City’s finest.
This is going to be a must-see Warner Animation project. Bruce Timm returns as executive producer and Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) reprise their roles as Batman and The Joker.
Warner Bros., DC Comics and Fathom Entertainment are so excited about the latest home video effort they’re showing it in select theaters nationwide. For DC, MD and Virginia readers that theater is at Tyson’s Corner. The screening is Monday, July 25. There’s two screening options — 7: 30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The film is about 95 minutes.
This special screening also includes an introduction by The Joker himself Mark Hamill. Additionally, the screening features the premiere of a documentary looking back at how Hamill was cast as The Joker and its impact on him as a fan and actor. Viewers will also get treated to a behind-the-scenes look at how a memorable moment from The Killing Joke was incorporated into the film.
I don’t have a million people responding to these giveaways (yet) so if you want to see it your odds are pretty good. There likely won’t be a ton of competition. The winner will be contacted by email. Good luck!
