ACGHK 2016: Hot Toys debuts Doctor Strange figure; Giant Man display

ACGHK gets Doctor Strange statement

As part of The Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) 2016, Hot Toys showed off some of its latest masterpieces. The highlight of the show was the world premiere of the Doctor Strange figure. Per the norm, the figure sports an incredible likeness to star Benedict Cumberbatch.

I love expanding my Avengers collection, but I’m just as excited about Hot Toys exploring other areas of the Marvel Universe. Yet another reason to hope that one day Marvel Studios will regain control of the Fantastic Four license. Can you imagine a Hot Toys Doctor Doom?

We got another look at the Netflix Daredevil figure. It continues to look very impressive and I’m looking forward to pre-order information for it. I was hoping we’d see the Hot Toys version of Jon Bernthal’s The Punisher at ACGHK, but looks like that will debut later.

Also on hand was a one of a kind scale Giant Man figure as part of the Captain America: Civil War diorama. I’d love to see that be released, but I shudder to think how much that would cost.

Strangely enough there still wasn’t any sign of a Civil War version Spider-Man.

At this point, I’m guessing Hot Toys is just holding out until Spider-Man Homecoming is closer to release next year.
