New Spider-Man Tom Holland continues Marvel actor tradition
Tom Holland is getting into the swing of things in continuing a proud Marvel tradition.
Holland, who earlier this year wowed audiences in Captain America: Civil War in his debut as Spider-Man, donned his famous costume to meet some new friends. On his Instagram account, Holland posted his visit to the Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is in production in Atlanta. Holland decided he’d use some of his free time to brighten some children’s day.
Holland is following in the footsteps of fellow Marvel Studios co-stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Pratt. You may remember Pratt and Evans had a friendly Super Bowl bet where the loser visited the Children’s Hospital of the victor’s choice. Evans would dress up as Captain America and Pratt would dress up as Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy. In the end, both decided to visit the others’ choice so everyone was a winner.
I love when actors embrace their characters so much they use their status to encourage sick children. That small gesture always seems to make such an impact on the children.
It’s been a big week for Spider-Man: Homecoming news. Zendaya was just revealed Thursday to be playing Mary Jane Watson in the film.
