Woody Harrelson officially joins Star Wars Han Solo spin-off.
Starwars.com confirmed the rumor, but didn’t get into specifics as to Harrelson’s role. The popular sentiment is he’ll be playing the mentor to Alden Ehrenreich’s Han Solo.
That’s not a stretch for Harrelson at this stage in his career following his stint as Haymitch in The Hunger Games and as Hollywood in Zombieland.
Harrelson joins Donald Glover, who’s playing Lando Calrissian and Emilia Clarke in an unrevealed role. Still no word is Peter Mayhew will be back as Chewbacca.
Like Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Han Solo spin-off is set before Episode IV – A New Hope. And if it ends up anywhere near the quality of Rogue One, these latest New Hope prequels could become as beloved as the Original Trilogy.
The unnamed Han Solo movie is set for release in 2018.
