I used to love reading through the newspapers’ multi-page comic strip section. One of my favorites was definitely Spider-Man. But one that definitely would have been a favorite would have been He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Dark Horse Comics is releasing a hardcover trade featuring the rarely seen newspaper comic stripes featuring the serial adventures of He-Man and company.
This wasn’t a quickly aborted idea as the strip lasted for four years. That was long ago to run through the beloved Filmation cartoon era to the not-so fondly remembered New Adventures of He-Man space saga.
For the first time, these strips will be collected into one edition. I loved checking out the book treasury side editions of comic strips so I’m looking forward to diving into this one. Hopefully, I can get a review of the set done soon as well.
The comic strips were written by James Shull, Chris Weber and Karen Wilson. Art was provided by Gerald Forton while colorist Connie Schurr handled those chores through the series.
This oversized hardcover edition includes 520 pages retails for $29.99 and will be available on Feb. 1.
