Resident Evil 7 earning acclaim from fans and critics, but Capcom isn’t about to let up from its most immersive survival horror experience yet. Banned Footage features two new add-on content packs.
PlayStation 4 players can experience Banned Footage Vol. 1 today for $9.99. Players who have the Deluxe Edition or Season Pass have this included in those packages.
Banned Footage Vol. 1 features ‘Nightmare,’ pitting Sewer Gators cameraman Clancy against hordes of enemies using crafted weapons and ammo. That sounds somewhat like the premise of a less insane version of Dead Rising.
In ‘Bedroom,’ Clancy has to crack the secret to escape a locked bedroom without waking plantation owner Marguerite Baker. Additionally, ‘Ethan Must Die’ is a more challenging mode that is not connected to the events from the main game. PSVR is not supported with this feature.
Banned Footage Vol. 2 will be available just in time for Valentine’s Day on Feb. 14 for $14.99. ‘21’ forces players to gamble for their lives in the ultimate high stakes game of 21 with Lucas Baker. ‘Daughters’ is a prologue to the events of RE7. Vol.2’s extra feature is ‘Jack’s 55th Birthday’ with players serving Jack treats for the big event. This also is not PSVR supported.
Both volumes will be available for all platforms on Feb. 21. Capcom also announced an additional story episode is coming, but had no further information. This spring, a free DLC, ‘Not a Hero,’ introduces a new storyline apart from the main game.
