Yes, video game fans, McFarlane Toys has found yet another way to tap in to your obsession. Today, McFarlane Toys announced a partnership with Bungie to release Guardian action figures based on the Destiny game franchise.
Destiny’s kick-off wave features the Guardian Classes including the Titan, Hunter and Warlock. Each figure will sport a new window box collector packaging and branded bases. McFarlane Toys didn’t include an articulation breakdown, but did describe the figures as fully articulated.
The Destiny figure line won’t be relegated to one scale and will include 10-inch figures as well as role play items, according to a statement from McFarlane Toys.
With over 30 million unique accounts since it debuted in September 2014, there’s probably a sizable market for figures.
‘Detail, depth, and customization, that’s what Destiny gives its players, and that’s what made it the biggest new video game franchise launch,’ said Todd McFarlane, Owner and CEO of McFarlane Toys in a statement. ‘With our upcoming Destiny line, fans can expect that same amount of detail and customization that we have built our own reputation on.’
Look for the figures to start showing up in stores around July for $19.99.
