Just about all the big players were out for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Hollywood premiere. In true Marvel Studios premiere fashion, it was a family affair. Cast members and directors from other Marvel projects (Joss Whedon!) were on hand for a film a lot of critics are already hailing to be Marvel’s best film yet.
Naturally, the principal cast were on hand. Chris Pratt and wife Anna Faris looked dashing, Zoe Saldana sparkled in an orange ensemble and Dave Bautista looked cool as usual.
Vin Diesel was absent as he’s presumably still promoting Fate of the Furious. Bradley Cooper also wasn’t around as his girlfriend, Irina Shayk, recently gave birth to their first child.
Director James Gunn seemed to relish the moment as well as the other members of the cast. Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Michael Rooker, Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone, Nathan Fillion and others were all in attendance to greet fans and check out the film together at the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Hollywood screening.
Also in attendance were stars from Agents of SHIELD, Daredevil and Thor: Ragnarok.

Here’s the synopsis for the film:
Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 blasts into theaters on May 5, 2017.
Guardians of the Galaxy’s first chapter was the highest grossing film of 2014. Going by the early reception, it stands a great chance of holding on to that title right up to the last few weeks of December. That’s when 2017’s likely highest blockbuster, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, arrives in theaters. So at least Star-Lord and crew can enjoy most of the year.
