Lyles Movie Files is proud to give away tickets for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. This is shaping up to be a dark horse action comedy for 2017 so I’m cautiously optimistic.
Excalibur might be my favorite movie in need of a remake. No dialogue changes or story adjustments at all. Just making use of today’s technology to tell the story. That said, I’m very curious to see what Guy Ritchie has in store for his take on the King Arthur mythos. I’m sure it’s going to be a more humorous take, but if it’s like his Sherlock Holmes films, it could be a lot of fun.

Here’s the synopsis:
Acclaimed filmmaker Guy Ritchie brings his dynamic style to the epic fantasy action adventure King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.’ Starring Charlie Hunnam (Pacific Rim) in the title role, the film is an iconoclastic take on the classic Excalibur myth, tracing Arthur’s journey from the streets to the throne. When the child Arthur’s father is murdered, Vortigern (Jude Law, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Arthur’s uncle, seizes the crown. Robbed of his birthright and with no idea who he truly is, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, his life is turned upside down and he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy…whether he likes it or not.
