It just takes one trailer to convince me this crossover was everything Injustice 2 needed. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo aka The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be joining Injustice 2 as part of Fighter Pack 3.
This pairing actually makes sense considering DC and IDW Publishing have done a pair of well-received Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossovers. But with the Turtles in the game, I kinda wish there was a four-team mode so you could have all four battle against a squad of DC heroes and villains.
The Turtles won’t be alone in this new set. They’ll be joined by a Legends of Tomorrow inspired Atom and Enchantress from Suicide Squad.
If you’ve lost count and that’s perfectly understandable, Injustice 2 also features Hellboy, Raiden & Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat and Black Manta. More of a Titans fan? Starfire, Red Hood and Cyborg have you covered. I’m looking forward to seeing how Black Canary’s fight style is incorporated into this one. Basically there’s someone for everyone with this installment.
The Injustice 2 Ultimate Edition/Ultimate Pack features nine additional characters and skins that allow for alternate character i.e. John Stewart for Green Lantern complete with new voices and dialogue lines. That’s a nice additional touch. The Ultimate Edition retails for $40 for players who already own the standard version of Injustice 2. If you haven’t picked it up yet, the Ultimate Edition is $99.99 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One X and Xbox One.
I really liked the first Injustice and Injustice 2 looks like it’s going to be a major improvement on an already good game. You can get the Ultimate Edition with all the Fighter Packs here.
