While Marvel Studios dominates the box office, the home video wing — Marvel Animation — has consistently been owned by Warner Bros. Animation department’s offerings from the DC Comics Universe.
Although featuring the golden Avenger, the latest effort — “Iron Man: Rise of Technovore” — doesn’t do much to polish the studio’s rusty reputation with a scattered, dull adventure that seems surprisingly dated for a character who’s always on the cutting edge of technology. More

Sideshow Collectibles wisely became a major player with Marvel film properties just as they started to get really popular and now are reaping the benefits with increased interest from a new group of fans lured into the property on the strength of films like “Iron Man,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger” and of course, “Marvel’s The Avengers.”
I’m loving what Sideshow has done with the Marvel line in general and this offering – from their premium format line – hardly breaks the streak. This is a bit of a throwback figure from them with a Black Widow from “Iron Man 2″ so right away you’ll notice the longer hair and the generic blue SHIELD agent attire. Course with the figure’s pose that may not actually have been the first thing people noticed, huh? The resemblance to Scarlett Johansson is kinda scary, no?

Well, you knew it was just a matter of time before Hot Toys delivered everyone’s favorite Armored Avenger for its “Marvel’s The Avengers” 12″ collectable line. They’ve already done Loki, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow so now’s as good a time as any to showcase a lot of people’s favorite character – Iron Man.

They’ve announced some pretty anticipated figures from both their “Marvel’s The Avengers” line – see Loki, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow here as well as “The Dark Knight Rises” [see their work on Batman, Bane, the Joker, Lt. Gordon and the Bat-pod] but today they offered a teaser of one of my favorite characters from The Avengers and it may be the first time I’m this excited to see what a guy in a suit looks like… More
