Hot Toys reveals Ada Wong figure – Resident Evil 4

Ada Wong’s closest approximation to another franchise is Boba Fett. Like the famed bounty hunter, she’s a mercenary who tends to be in the background until the ideal moment. She does something awesome, then fades back out of sight. And fans can never get enough of her either.

Ada made her debut in Capcom’s classic “Resident Evil 2″ video game as Leon Kennedy’s mysterious ally with her own agenda. She’s since appeared in “Resident Evil 4,” arguably the series’ best installment and she’s also featured in one of the three subplots in “Resident Evil 6.” I fully plan on picking that up and will be able to give my take on it, but as far as that series goes, I tend to be a “bit” biased. Review: Resident Evil: Afterlife

Claire Redfield (Ali Larter), Chris Redfield (Wenthworth Miller) and Alice (Milla Jovovich) prepare for battle in Screen Gems’ action horror “RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE.”

The “Resident Evil” franchise has never claimed to be high-concept, brainy material. It’s a series about zombies so you really have to go in not expecting too much. The franchise consistently delivered for action fans even if it appeared to be losing some of its bite.

The third installment, “Resident Evil: Extinction,” had all the makings of a franchise ender with a weak premise, weak villain, only one truly memorable fight scene and a terrible decision to make the main character, Alice (Milla Jovovich), a zombie fighting superhero effectively eliminating any type of suspense. But every so often, a franchise regains its footing by simply going back to what worked in the first place. More

Film Flashback: Resident Evil (2002)

Quick! Name the last really good zombie movie? [2012 FF: Amazing how this was a legitimate question in 2002, but over the last decade there's actually been some fun zombie theme flicks.] Ok, maybe that wasn’t fair. How about naming the last great video game movie? “Super Mario Brothers?” “Street Fighter?” “Tomb Raider?” [2012 FF: At least this question still has merit with apologies to all three fans of "Dragonball: Evolution" or "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li."]

With that track record, I wasn’t expecting too much from “Resident Evil” a film based off the popular video game series where humans fight to survive in a mansion and towns overrun by zombies. More

New “Resident Evil: Retribution” images – Ada Wong appears

Just like the evil inspiration behind the mega-popular video game series (I will be significantly disposed when “Resident Evil 6″ comes out in October) this is one franchise that continues to show signs of life and isn’t in any danger of being put down anytime soon.  Good, as I love a decent-to-good zombie movie!

Sony’s released a few images of the latest installment “Resident Evil: Retribution” in advance of its Sept. 14 release date.
