After watching “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” I can better understand fans who hated “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.” More

Warner Bros. released a new batch of pictures in advance of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and yeah, my excitement level for this is getting pretty high. Not “Star Wars Episode 7″ high, but close. More

Legolas

The Bridge Direct sent over some new images from their figure line based on “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” and they look solid and should make for some decent complimentary additions to Toy Biz’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy collection.

I’m getting more and more excited about the start of this next trilogy and can’t wait to see how Peter Jackson makes this first glimpse at Middle Earth as engaging as his previous trilogy. More

MARTIN FREEMAN as Bilbo Baggins in New Line Cinema’s and MGM’s fantasy adventure “THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

I’m pretty excited to return to another of my December traditions – watching a Middle Earth film with “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” the first of a new trilogy from Peter Jackson coming to theaters on Dec. 14.

I’d grown accustomed to the nice December treat of the next chapter of “The Lord of The Rings” saga and every December since 2003′s “The Return of The King,” I’d missed hearing that familiar theme and anxiously awaiting what Peter Jackson had in store for me over the course of the next two-and-a-half hours.

Fortunately, Jackson is returning to Middle Earth with the LOTR prequel, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” which opens Dec. 14 and I can’t wait for it.

The fine folks at The Bridge Direct, Inc. are handling the figures on this outing and sent along some images of what you can expect from their figures later this fall. Thankfully have included a 6″ scale for those of you (like me) who want to add to their existing Toy Biz collection from the previous three Middle Earth films. More
