Milla Jovovich joining "The Expendables 3?"

Milla Jovovich with gun Milla Jovovich (“Resident Evil: Afterlife”) is the latest action star rumored to be part of the fun for “The Expendables 3.”

For a few months now there’s been rumors that Adi Shankar (“Dredd“) is working on a female version of “The Expendables,” with Jovovich one of the first names attached to the project. That makes sense considering she’s led her own action franchise for so long with the still popular “Resident Evil” series with the sixth film set to debut next year.

“The Expendables” creator Sylvester Stallone has been keeping fans up to date on the new film via Twitter with his most recent updates about Wesley Snipes
@TheSlyStallone: Talked to WESLEY today … He can not WAIT to fight to the top again !!!!!!! Over…

And Steven Seagal: @TheSlyStallone: Just talked to STEVEN S. in Moscow …Sounds great and says he wants to be in EX3, if the part fits….

Surprisingly, Stallone’s been quiet about bringing Jovovich onboard, but Lionsgate CEO Jon Felheimer has confirmed “advanced negotiations” with Snipes, Jackie Chan, Nicolas Cage and Jovovich so this is definitely one casting rumor to keep an eye on. “The Expendables 3” is set to be released next year.
