Sights from the 14th Annual Baltimore Comic Convention 2013 – Part 1
I made it out to the 14th Annual Baltimore Comic Con today. It was a blast as usual.
There were tons of comic book creators like Neal Adams, Mark Bagley, Brian Bolland, Frank Cho, Dan Didio, Mark Waid, David Finch, Tom Raney, Herb Trimpe, Amanda Conner and Adam Hughes in attendance; tons of vendors like my pals at Third Eye Comics and scores of outstanding costumes. And I was only an incomprehensible idiot when I told Keith Giffen and J.M. Dematteis how much I adore “Justice League International” to this day.
Unlike other jam-packed spectacles you may attend, the crowds were really friendly so if a person accidentally bumped into you, they apologize and likewise if they walked in on your picture. Nice to see everyone on their best behavior, especially since there seemed to be a large amount of children this year — many in costume. I almost feel bad for the kids though as after attending Comic Con, Halloween just can’t possibly hope to stack up ever again.
I got a ton of pictures from some fantastic cosplayers. They were easily the highlight of the event for me as there were a lot of creative costumes this year. Here’s a few of the ones I got today. Check back as I’ll be posting more throughout the week!
Cosplayers, I’m starting a new feature where I profile the people behind the costumes and would love to share your stories. If you’re interested, hit me up on Facebook.
