What are your Top 10 Movies of 2013?
I’m busy putting my (sure to be controversial) list together, but I figured I’d make it a little fun and see what were your favorites. Going through my lists I’m in no position to mock so consider this a safe space for your 2013 favorites no matter how off the wall and unpopular they may be with the masses.
Who knows, I may even toss in something free for those who post their lists? ;-)
Hobbit is the top one….
then we can go with
Despicable me 2
World War Z
Thor 2
Fast 6
We are the millers
Monsters 2
lone ranger
Iron Man 3
Man of steel
I’ve got some of your list on mine as well.
I think I’ve seen around 10 2013 releases this year so I don’t know how valid my list is…but that being said, these are the ones that would make it on the list.
The Great Gatsby
Catching Fire
Frozen
Iron Man 3
Thor: The Dark World
I’m disappointed to say that Man of Steel and The Desolation of Smaug did NOT make it on this list.
I was pretty disappointed Iron Man 3 didn’t make my list, but more than one of the films you did mention are on mine.
Personally, I think it was the best of the 3, but that may just be because the character is growing on me over time.
Interesting. You’re the first person who’s said that. Did you like that he was out of his armor for most of the film and could go more into the man inside the Iron Man suit?
Yeah, I like that he faced his own vulnerability. I like character development, and this movie did a great job with it.
In no particular order…
Despicable Me 2
Monsters University
Fast 6
Best Man Holiday
Smurf 2 (I know…crazy…it was better than I thought)
The Words (was that this year?)
One of those is in my Top 5.
Spoiler: it’s not Smurfs 2 ;-)
For me “42”, “Fruitvale Station”, “The Conjuring”, “Man Of Steel”, “Prisoners”, “Thor: The Dark World” and “12 Years a Slave” stand out the most. There are some films I’ve yet to see that I plan on seeing soon. Jeff I’m sure you will come up with a great Top 10 list because you show a great diversity when it comes to different genres of films, something so many film critics lack.
I got “The Conjuring” for cheap on Black Friday and I’m planning to check it out soon.
I’m with you on all but one of your other choices.
Thanks man. I’m sure it will surprise folks with my top choices this year. :-)
I was looking over the movies I watched this year and this was not one of my big theater years! Right now, though, I think my top movies were “Mud” and “Catching Fire” — though I am seeing “Anchorman 2” on Friday ;-)
No shame if that makes your Top 10 here ;-)
I have so many movies I need to catch up on my list will be pretty scarce on quality titles, but here’s what I really enjoyed:
Gravity
Thor 2
Prisoners
World War Z
Star Trek Into Darkness
