Vin Diesel announces "Fast & Furious 7" is moving to make 2015 the most anticipated movie year ever
I’ve reviewed/watched movies for a long time and there’s never been a year I’ve been more anxious to get to based on the quality of movies more than 2015. We already have lined up
- Avengers: The Age of Ultron (May 1)
- Star Wars: Episode VII (Dec. 18)
- Batman vs. Superman (July 17)
- Ant-Man (July 31)
- The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 (Nov. 20)
- Bond 24 (Nov. 6)
- The Terminator (June 26)
And now Vin Diesel announced on his Facebook that “Fast & Furious 7’s” will be roaring into theaters in 2015 as well.

There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we’ve come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released…
April 10th 2015!

I’m glad to hear the film won’t be rushed out just to meet the original July 11, 2014 release date. And with more than a year to figure out a way to handle star Paul Walker’s death in the series there’s a better chance it’ll be one that will be satisfying to most fans of the franchise.
What do you think? Disappointed that the film is being delayed or just ready to get to 2015’s offerings already like me?
That probably was the best choice they could have made considering the circumstances. April 10th is good date because it’s a month before ‘Age of Ultron’ and gives them plenty of time to rake in dough at the box office.
Yep. Think that was a good move as well and with four weeks I’m sure they’ll do pretty well in April.
I am glad they are going to treat it right. I believe thats a good date so it wont be lost in the shuffle. The summer season has gotten longer ever since 300 killed in the spring so I will still think of it as a summer. Plus im in the south, so it will be about 85 degrees around then any way. Do you think this will cause a rewrite to the script? And who could be added to take his place or more rock and Vin?
Right? I remember the summer movie season starting in June and every year it gets earlier and earlier. But in 2015 I’ll make an exception! ;-)
They made the right decision to use the footage they had and find a way to write Walker off. The release date is a great choice.
