Hot Toys tries to bust my bank with The Dark Knight: Batman Armory with Bruce Wayne and Alfred collectible figures
Hot Toys hates my wallet. I’m sure of it with the news of this upcoming release:
As a hero with many superior tech and equipment, Batman uses a specialized armory to store all of his state-of-the-art weaponries and gadgets. Now Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale Batman Armory from The Dark Knight together in a set with Bruce Wayne and the firstly launched Alfred Pennyworth collectible figures.
Here’s the synopsis (as if they need to work to sell it):
The 1/6th scale Batman Armory is highly detailed and meticulously crafted based on its appearance in “The Dark Knight” featuring a Batman collectible figure with patented Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS) and four newly sculpted interchangeable expressions, and a large collection of finely sculpted weapons and accessories.
The movie-accurate Bruce Wayne collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne in the motion picture highlighting the newly painted head sculpt and a finely tailored costume with striking details.
The movie-accurate Alfred Pennyworth collectible is specially crafted based on the image of the renowned Academy Award winner, Sir Michael Caine, as Alfred Pennyworth in the film highlighting the newly developed head sculpt, and an impressively tailored costume.

I saw that yesterday too. I don’t like that sculpt of Bruce. Alfred looks great, but that Bruce sculpt is off.
I already have a Bruce custom, and the Toys Legend armoury, so i am all set with no desire to buy this one. But i can only imagine how much Hot Toys must be drawing you with their hypnotic “buy me! BUY ME!!!” magic ju-ju.
^_^
What would you do to change it? It looks pretty good to me.
Mind taking a Bruce custom pic for me? Curious what yours look like.
They are definitely drawing me in with it.
Mine uses the MMS Bruce head, also from Hot Toys. It came with the Batman Begins suit.
It’s hard to say what i would do to change it. It’s just a bit off in terms of his head shape.
Here’s a pic of mine:

Ok, think I can see some difference in yours and the newer version.
What did the display piece you have originally come with?
Picked up anything new? I’m trying to figure how I’m setting up my Avengers display.
If you google “Hot Toys Batman Begins” you will see a lot of close-ups of that sculpt and, while still not perfect, i reckon it’s the best they have done till now. The other one isn’t too bad. It came with the DX12, which i already have anyway.
The armoury i got from my Brother and his wife for my birthday and it came with the static batsuit and all the gadgets.
I got the Iron Man Midas for Christmas, along with Evil Superman. And i have been throwing together Man Of Steel customs with the Hot Toys figure being out now. I also managed to trade a Battle Damaged MKVII Iron Man for an Iron Monger, filling the final gap in my Armour collection(I won’t be buying any of the IM3 armours). Pics below. Have you got pics of your Avengers setup?

Very cool man!
I’ve been delaying opening Hulk, Loki and Iron Man so I could savor it. I do have Black Widow and Agent Coulson in the display.
Well i am looking forward to seeing pics of them!
Loki looks the business when he’s out on display.

That’s a great pose!
Is that a custom Odin?
Cool customs Barry, you did your thing man. Can you remove the MIDAS head, I notice your Stark head on the body. I have MIDAS myself, I hope Hot Toys decides to make a Faora figure too. I’m planning on getting the Mark 42, Iron Patriot, Starboost aka Gemini, Silver Centurion and maybe Igor than I’m done with the ‘Iron Man 3’ line. Oh and congrats on getting ‘Iron Monger’, he’s a beast and a fantastic figure, one I’m certainly glad to own.
Thanks Fred. I had to dremel out a Midas head to fit the Tony sculpt in there. I bought a sparehelmet on Ebay for the job.
Thanks.
Odin is totally stock. It’s was released for the Thor line of figures.
Maybe you can help me out. Opened Loki up, but had the hardest time getting his helmet back together and lined up. Did you have a problem with it?
Hot Toys have you covered, because although the method of attaching it is simple when you know how, they have to show you how first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1Oa-nby78k&feature=c4-overview&list=UUKrLbNdzAHs20tjNxLHcfZQ
Ah. Thank you! I was trying to make sure I didn’t break it!
No worries my friend. It’s better to be safe than sorry!
You did a great job, I’m good with my MIDAS the way it is. I just put the Starboost on PO this week, I love the different and unique look of that figure. I got the Midas because of it’s unique look, I know it didn’t come with a lot of accessories but I just love the two tones of gold it has, in my opinion it looks better than the Play Arts Imaginative Super Alloy Midas because those two tones of gold really makes the Hot Toys version pop more.
I know exactly what you mean about the different looking armours.
I can’t explain why I like Midas so much but it’s the last IM3 armour I’ll be getting. The rest seem *too* different for my tastes.
I’ll stick with I to VII and Midas.
^_^
I hear you, some people don’t like big differences and some do, it’s all up to the individual collector. After a dew more figures from ‘IM3’ I’m done with those. Now I will be getting ‘Iron Whiplash’ from “Iron Man 2”, that’s a must have for me. I passed on the regular ‘Whiplash’, but I won’t be passing on this. Midas is definitely a matter of taste, and I can respect those who passed on it, but for me I had to have it, I just love the look of it. I know it’s a repaint of the Mark VII, but the Mark VII is also my favorite design so far, and the colors make it look like a totally different figure.
