Yeah, I know celebrities are real people, blah blah, but it seems the news/celebrity gossip is filled with far too much of what they’re blowing their millions on, who they’re dating, who they’re divorcing and what they’re wearing so I’m gonna try and scour the web weekly to spotlight a celeb doing something awesome and amazing for other people.
And I figured there was no better one to start than with Chris Pratt, star of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and clearly great guy.
First, Pratt had one of my favorite ALS Ice Bucket challenge acceptances so far
Then he upped his superheroic week by donning his “Guardians of the Galaxy” costume to visit sick children in the hospital. Granted, a good number of celebs make hospital visits, but for kids, actually seeing an actor “in character” must have been a real treat.
While promoting “Guardians,” Pratt told Panzer TV if Guardians “was a big enough movie to where it would mean something to a kid who’s sick in the hospital for Peter Quill or Star-Lord to come visit them, I’ll do that. I think that’s awesome, man. That would give me real meaning for this movie, you know?”
Pratt went on to say he “borrowed” “the jacket and some of the wardrobe so that, if this movie comes out and does what everyone hopes it can, I can follow the example of someone — say, like, a Russell Wilson — and go visit kids.”
