New York Comic Con 2014 recap and Cosplay Galleries
I was able to make it out to the New York Comic Con this year and it surpassed my expectations as easily the largest gathering of comic books, movies/TV, video game, cards and action figure fans I’ve ever seen. I can only imagine how San Diego Comic Con is after witnessing all the fun at The Javits Center.
I’ve been fortunate to have really great con experiences with the Baltimore Comic Con and Awesome Con in D.C. and thankfully, NYCC was just the same. Only much, much bigger. In addition to talking with fellow geeks, I got to talk to WWE’s JBL for a second, spot “Arrow’s” Manu Bennett signing autographs as well as interview some of the creators of the upcoming “LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham.” I’ll share those interviews soon.
I also picked up some cool Avengers and X-Men T-shirts in addition to talking to comics legend Kevin Maguire and getting two essential Justice League International and Justice League America prints.
While I only made it up on Saturday, I definitely had enough fun to make it a full four-day event for 2015. So with the brief write-up out of the way, time for one of my favorite highlights of any con – cosplay.
Trying to slam them all in two big galleries didn’t seem fair to the amazing work so I’ve split them up to genres to make for easier viewing. Apologies in advance for the cosplayers whose characters I didn’t know, but appreciated their work all the same. Hope you all enjoy them as much as I did!
