No tricks, Mark Hamill returns to “The Flash” #TheFlash

Mark Hamill as the Trickster with John Wesley Shipp FlashAs if you needed another reason to love “The Flash” any more.

Mark Hamill, one of the real bright spots of the 1990’s “Flash” show, will be returning to play James Jesse, the Rogue known as The Trickster.

According to HitFix, Hamill will be appearing near the end of the first season — at episode 17 — and be the old Trickster, who is upset that a young punk (presumably the younger Axel Walker version Trickster) is running around with his gimmick and helps Barry and Joe stop him.

Trickster Axel“Mark Hamill returns in a brand new interpretation of James Jesse (aka The Trickster), a role he originated on the 90’s ‘Flash’ series.  In this new iteration, The Trickster is an anarchist terrorist  con man serving a life sentence in Iron Heights who helps Barry (Grant Gustin) and Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) to foil the city-wide attacks of a wannabe Trickster eagerly following in the original’s deadly footsteps.  The episode will reunite him with John Wesley Shipp who went up against him as the original ‘Flash’ on the CBS version.”

I know we’ve got Reverse Flash coming this week, but with the arrival of another Rogue, I’m really hoping the season finale pits Flash against a bunch of the Rogues.
