It’s the dream match you never knew you wanted. With Mike Tyson earning acclaim for his role in Ip Man 3 where he battles accomplished martial artist actor Donnie Yen, EA Sports UFC 2 is giving gamers a chance to play out a mixed martial arts dream match: Iron Mike vs. The Dragon.
Bruce Lee and Tyson (in a classic and modern mode) are among two of the all-time legends that will be in EA Sports UFC 2. Other unlockable stars are Bas Rutten and Kazushi Sakuraba, which players can release in UFC Hall of Fame Career Mode. They’re part of the largest roster ever for an official UFC game with more than 250 athletes alongside cover star UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor and former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
According to EA, this year’s new Knockout Physics System, when paired with thousands of new animations and updated character likenesses, makes knockouts more dynamic and realistic than ever.
With EA Sports UFC 2, players can get in-game rewards for playing out real-world fight cards before they occur.
- Features include:

Another feature is Knockout Mode, which is more of a pure heart-pounding, stand-up fighting action that can incorporate Grapple Assist, a new graphic overlay that helps fans dominate the clinch and find their next move on the ground.
‘This game is an authentic representation of the UFC brand experience, bringing the excitement of the Octagon to life for all fight fans,’ UFC Senior Vice President of Global Consumer Products, Tracey Bleczinski said in a statement. ‘From the walkout, incorporating the new UFC Fight Kit, to the intensity of being face-to-face with the top combat sports athletes in the world, this game has it all.’
