RIP Prince
Well, today has been awful for pop culture. Prince’s death today at 57 does not seem real and certainly feels like one of those celebrity deaths I’m still awaiting to hear it was just a silly prank.
In my 80s-reared mindset it was Michael Jackson and Prince. Everyone else was a distant second place. In fairness to Mike, Prince had a far deeper playlist. Purple Rain remains one of my all-time favorite movie musicals. While I’ve been working this part-time job, whenever a Prince song came on, I was always amped up like it was the first time.
My heart is broken. There are no words.

I LOVED him, the world LOVED him. Now he's at peace with his Father. Rest in power, @prince, my brother. pic.twitter.com/ZN6cc3WWuF

Prince never stopped being a music force and his impact carried through generations. We’ve definitely lost a major icon today in the music world and a big contributor to the soundtrack of my life was lost today.

My first album was purple rain! It’s definitely a sad day.
That was a classic album to have as your first one.
It seems that this kind of thing happens so regularly to famous young rock musicians. May be not the same circumstances but Micheal Jackson, Elvis, Jimmy, Van Morrison and many others. May be it is just normal as death comes to all groups of people. Yes, it was another sad day.
It does Pierre. Definitely something to it sadly.
