Transformers: The Last Knight teaser trailer rolls out

I still contend that Michael Bay would be the best director ever for a GI Joe live action movie. Until then, he’ll keep having a modest interest in Transformers. Paramount Pictures released the first teaser trailer for the next film in the franchise, Transformers: The Last Knight.

If you’re an old school Transformers head feeling suddenly optimistic about the direction of the series, let’s not get too hasty. For those more cynical fans, Last Knight seems to be more of the same under Bay’s direction — more humans over what everyone is paying money to see. Unless of course Mark Wahlberg running around Optimus Prime is a selling point for some people. On the plus side, Anthony Hopkins narrating makes anything better.

I’ve given up trying to be optimistic with this series. Right around the time I stopped being able to distinguish the various hunks of metal was when Bay lost me. On the bright side, Last Knight features the return of Josh Duhamel and his Joe stand-in squad.
