We’re just about at the halfway point of 2017 and Get Out remains one of my favorite films of the year. If you missed it or simply want to see it again, you’re in luck. Lyles Movie Files is happy to announce a Get Out DVD giveaway.
Get Out is easily one of the smartest and unique looks at modern race relations I’ve seen in a long time. I definitely recommend anyone who hasn’t seen it to check it out. And why not do it for free with this Get Out DVD contest?
Here’s the Get Out DVD synopsis:
In Universal Pictures’ Get Out, a speculative thriller from Blumhouse (producers of The Visit, Insidious series and The Gift) and the mind of Jordan Peele, when a young African-American man visits his white girlfriend’s family estate, he becomes ensnared in a more sinister real reason for the invitation.
Now that Chris (Daniel Kaluuya, Sicario) and his girlfriend, Rose (Allison Williams, Girls), have reached the meet-the- parents milestone of dating, she invites him for a weekend getaway upstate with Missy (Catherine Keener, Captain Phillips) and Dean (Bradley Whitford, The Cabin in the Woods). At first, Chris reads the family’s overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter’s interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined.
To be entered in the contest all you’ve gotta do is leave a comment about something you wish you could get out of your life in 2017. It can be anything from your lousy commute, your teenager or the Cowboys. Let’s have some fun with this one!
