Hot Toys Jedi Luke Skywalker figure revealed

Hot Toys knows I can be picky with my Marvel Cinematic Universe and DC figures, but I’m a sucker for all things Star Wars. At least the Original Trilogy. Today they revealed a must-have for me the Hot Toys Jedi Luke Skywalker. And it looks amazing.

Sideshow Collectibles made a Jedi Luke. Even back then I wasn’t impressed with the odd expression and hoped for a redo. The Hot Toys Jedi Luke is really, really close to being perfect save a few things. I wish we got the windswept hair Luke had during the battle on Jabba’s sail barge. That look was used on a lot of Return of the Jedi promotional material so I have a real attachment to that visual.

I appreciate that we’re getting the Jabba’s palace attires with the cloak, vest and even the blaster wounded right hand. But I’m still a little greedy in wishing we got the Endor helmet and poncho.

Naturally, Luke comes with his final duel look complete with shirt flap that folds down. I really like how this one turned out and looking forward to adding him to my collection.

With the rise of a new and more powerful Death Star, Luke Skywalker, along with the Rebel fleet and his friends mount a massive attack on the space station to stop the Empire’s dangerous aggression and cease its tyranny across the galaxy. In the final climatic battle aboard this technological terror, Luke Skywalker confronts his father Darth Vader before the evil Emperor Palpatine. Yet, at the most critical moment, Darth Vader makes the heavy decision to protect his son by destroying the vicious Emperor and ultimately sacrificing his own life; thus, restoring temporary peace to the galaxy.
