The Trinity learns the truth about The Enlightened and the Traveler, but that info might have come too late with the Watchtower set to plummet to Earth.

Writer Francis Manapul sticks most of the landing for the Dead Space arc finale. The resolution and handling of the real enemy is somewhat anticlimactic however with the focus of the issue more about stopping the Watchtower’s crash. Since the League won’t have too much trouble on that, the attention feels like needless padding that would have been better put in the confrontation with the big villain.

As has been the case through this arc, some of the best moments come when Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are interacting with the other Justice League members. Manapul definitely would make for an excellent Justice League writer if that gig opens up anytime soon.

Manapul gets some art assist from Scott Hanna and Scott Godlewski. Obviously, the preference would be for Manapul to complete the issue on his own, but the shifts to the other artists isn’t too noticeable. Manapul’s art is the highlight of the issue thanks to his expressive and energetic style. Wil Quintana and Blond also provide color assists, but each page pops with strong colors.

Dead Space might not have wrapped on a high note, but it was another decent entry for Trinity. This title might not ever reach must-read status, but it makes for entertaining sidebar reading for fans of DC’s big three.
